Beth Koch

Dr. Beth E. Koch is an Assistant Professor of Design at the University of Minnesota Duluth teaching typography, graphic and interactive design. As a young junior high school student, Koch learned about typography sitting at the controls of a Linotype machine. Instructed at Herron School of Art by founding director of the Society for News Design Rolf Rehe, she consequently practiced composing in metal, wood, Typositer and computer photographic technologies, up to present day web coding. Koch’s degrees include BFA Visual Communications, MFA Interactive Design, Ph.D. in Design; she is an exhibiting and internationally award-winning graphic designer, speaker, and consultant.
