In a somewhat controversial move the TypeCon organizers have invited Microsoft’s Si Daniels to contribute live blog posts during the conference. With over ten years of blogging experience, and a special unrestricted back-stage access VIP pass, we expect he’ll uncover interesting stories and tidbits from speakers and attendees alike. If you have something you’d like him to mention, or are making any big announcements at the event, drop him (and the rest of the blogging crew) a mail via blog@typecon.com.
Si Daniels is a lead program manager within Microsoft’s typography group. A graduate of Reading’s Typography & Graphic Communication program, he is a current ATypI board member and the ATypI country delegate for the USA. Si was a charter SOTA board member and was also the site chair for last year’s TypeCon conference in Seattle. Earlier this year he hosted the Font Developers Rights Coalition’s first annual Business of Type conference at Microsoft’s Redmond, Washington campus.
