Business and Technology Forum
Open dialogue featuring speakers Matthew Carter, Jon Coltz, Gerry Leonidas, Gary Munch, Adam Twardoch, Tiffany Wardle, and representatives from Adobe, Linotype, Monotype, MyFonts, P22, and FontLab. Free to the public, the forum will be held at The New School, Tishman Auditorium, 66 W. 12th Street, 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm.

Document the type of the city and win cash prizes. In honor of Type Week, FontShop sponsors a typographic scavenger hunt. All you need is a digital camera and a sense of urban alphabetic voyeurism.

Special FiFFteen exhibition viewing with Erik Spiekermann and Neville Brody
To commemorate FontShop International's 15-year anniversary, FSI has organized an exhibition: "FiFFteen: 15 years of type for independent minds." The show celebrates the FontFont library and the relationships and inspirations that have made it possible. FiFFteen also features FUSE, the seminal publication on experimental typography published by FSI.

Our partners APHA and the TDC have put together a series of free or typographic tours during Type Week. Send your tour reservation email to info@typesociety.org. These tours are for very small groups, so you must email right away to get on the list!

Letterform Tour of Manhattan with Paul Shaw
Meet in front of Guggenheim Museum at Fifth Avenue and 89th Street
This tour, led by lettering artist, type designer and famous Legacy of Letters tour guide Paul Shaw, will allow attendees to see many of New York's typographic treasures, including Frank Lloyd Wright signage at the Guggenheim, a Bruce Rogers-designed inscription at Hunter College, and art deco signage at Bloomingdale's. Other letter-filled stops on the tour will include the MOMA, Rockefeller Center, the Chrysler Building, and the Empire State Building. Those going on this tour will need to purchase a handy unlimited-ride Metro pass ($7 for a 1-day pass, $24 for a 7-day pass).
