TypeParis 2020 TypeCon Scholarship Application

TypeCon and SOTA are proud to announce the 2nd edition of our scholarship program to TypeParis20 — an incredible five-week typographic intensive in Paris, France.

Last year, Olga Vasik was the winner of TypeCon Scholarship to TypeParis19! Next summer, one selected female applicant will join fourteen fellow students in the heart of the city for 340 hours of immersive education in type design, lettering, and calligraphy – on us! This year’s intensive will take place from June 8th to July 11th, 2020.

TypeParis20 instructors include Jean François Porchez (founder of TypeParis), Mathieu Réguer, Marc Rouault, Gina Serret, Julie Soudanne and Malou Verlomme. Special sessions planned with Rainer Erich Scheichelbauer and Georg Seifert from Glyphs. The weekly international guest critics are Paul Barnes, David Brezina, Louise Fili, Alexandra Korolkova and Martin Majoor. In addition to classroom time, students will have opportunities to participate in field research trips and special sessions, listen in to weekly guest presentations, and seek critique from a variety of international experts.

This scholarship award covers tuition costs for TypeParis20, a €4,600 value. (Travel, lodging, and meals are the responsibility of the recipient.)
