Natalie Dumont

Nathalie Dumont is Assistant Professor in the Department of Design and Computation Arts at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. Before joining Concordia University, Nathalie taught typography at Université Laval in Quebec city for five years and worked as a freelance graphic designer. Her research is centered on typography and she currently investigates the process of type design with a methodology inspired by qualitative research methods. Following her BFA in Graphic Communication from Université Laval, 2001, Nathalie Dumont completed an MA in Typeface Design at the University of Reading in 2002. She is now pursuing a PhD in Studies and Practices of Arts at Université du Québec à Montréal.
