Perrin Stamatis

Perrin Stamatis is a design educator, designer, and musician. As the founder of Scratchboard Designs, he created print work, environmental graphics, motion graphics, interactive design, and sound design for various clients. Over a 20-year career, he transitioned to teaching design and ultimately earned his MFA in Graphic Design at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).

Stamatis has taught at nine design schools and served as department head at four. He is currently a full-time professor at Northern Illinois University and serves as a board member for the Society of Typographic Arts (STA) in Chicago.

Perrin actively presents his research and work at many conferences and exhibits his silkscreen print series in gallery shows across the US and (most recently) in Kraków, Poland.
