Vida Sacic

Vida Sacic is a Croatian-American artist and designer whose work explores the ties between process and communication through type, image, and abstraction.

Born and raised in Croatia, Vida moved to the Midwest as an exchange student in her teens. She was introduced to letterpress printing during her graduate studies at Indiana University Bloomington, where she began working with wood and metal type.

Her work is collected and exhibited nation-wide with recent exhibitions at Hamilton Wood Type and Printing Museum in Wisconsin and The Center for Book Arts in New York.

Vida is currently an Associate Professor of Art at Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago where she is the author and coordinator of the BFA program in Graphic Design.
